    Ruger Gunsite Walnut/Stainless 308

We were just allotted 4 of these. Had two a few months ago and they went quickly. $1199 and a few weeks to get here.

I bought one a couple months ago. The walnut stock is real nice and I don't believe the barrel comes in 16" stainless threaded in any of the other models available up here.

Any word on the composite stock Gunsite Scout?

Composite stock sucks A$$. The trigger guard is molded into the stock and no magazine liner.

Definitely would not go with a composite stock.

I thought I wanted a composite till I held one. Piece of junk. Cheaply made. If you want the best factory stock get the walnut. If you want to turn this into a project McMillan makes stocks for them. They even told me that I could put it into a M40 stock, just needs to be bedded. That why you want the mag liner.
