I'm looking for a Marlin 1895 STP "Trapper" .45-70.
Any leads would be great!
The SBL is fantastic. After some interior tlc mine cycles like butter. I drooled after the SBL for quite a while. I had heard good things about the 1895 but Remington's reputation scared me off. Now that I have mine it is my favorite rifle. It's like this. When I walk up to it I think "oooh, that looks nice." Then I pick it up and think "oooh, that balances perfectly." Then I cycle it and think "oooh, the cycles scary smooth." When I shoot it with factory ammo the recoil surprisingly mild. And I mean 120# female, absolute novice friendly. Awesome gun. Worth every single penny and more.
I have a JM stamped 1895 cowboy in 45/70. Beautiful rifle. Love that 26" octagon barrel. The new marlins don't even come close for fit and finish.
I would love to replace my guide stainless with a 16" STP model....in a second
