i think wanstalls is NOT to blame here, rather whoever they buy from is using the exchange rate as an excuse to grab some more margin given the usd to czk has also skyrocket, more so than against cad movement

shame how prices are so quick to move up and so sticky to come down - i do give most of the cdn retailers credit for not upcharging on existing stock when rates move

(and realizing this isnt the appropriate thread for this, ill stop posting)

    thx

Revolvers RULE; remember that next time you BEND over to pick up brass OR ejected brass pings off the precision gear.
Looking for a car pool buddy for weekly weekday trips from Burnaby to POCO. Better yet I'll drive weekly and you take me hunting.

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough earlier -- the Euro doesn't factor in whatsoever for European-made guns. Or Chinese, Turkish, etc. Ever. At all.

The manufacturers list a price to their distributors in USD. That is paid in USD by the distributor. The USD is strong against the Canadian dollar, varying between 20 and 24% depending on the day. When the distributor buys the USD from their bank with Canadian funds, to pay for the guns, they must spend 20-24% more to do so. Therefore, their pricing must go up an equivalent percentage. Therefore, dealer pricing must increase an equivalent percentage.

There is sadly no shortcut or secret answer here, guys. The USD is strong, the CAD is weak, and all firearm business trade is conducted in USD. Such is life... Canada spends more time with our dollar well below parity than we do at par, so everyone should be used to it by now!

The master of up-selling right here, folks, lol.
If I had any head-room on my plastic, I'd crush it all, and with $10 shipping, too.

That is why I mean, it's cost less but the price in usd stay the same... $ cdn is lower than the usd, we paid more... like gaz. you are not making more money, they...
