    Re: a question

The factory mag that came with mine functioned better out of the box than the two after markets that I bought with it. That being said, it is a poly mag and I'm not sure how durable it will be vs. steel over the long haul. There are several fixes for the after market that will make it function at 100%, though. I also have to agree with PepeLapiu; if you rack it with authority you'll avoid a lot of problems.

My Griz worked fine right out of the box, with the factory mag.

The other mag I ordered at the same time as the gun was an aftermarket
And it did not work with 5 rounds in it, no matter what i did to that mag.

I purchased a new factory steel mag and it works like a charm.
I wanted the plastic one to cut down on weight but now I'm glad I did not.

Where did you get your steel mag?

I was looking on there site for a poly one but could not find it
So I bought the factory one cause the factory one that came with the gun worked so well.

    Okay.
Mine is plastic so maybe they gave me an aftermarket one in lieu of the stock steel one.

    I am getting confused.

Here is the factory mag on CanAm:
    https://www.canadaammo.com/product/d...zzly-shotguns/

Here is the aftermarket one also on CanAm:
    https://www.canadaammo.com/product/d...zzly-mag-5-rd/

Note that they appear to be both plastic and the picture looks identical.
The magazine I have is one of those two. It is finicky.

And here on an other site is a factory steel mag for the same price as the plastic factory one:
    http://www.hical.ca/grizzly-norinco-12-gauge-magazines/

Now I just have to figure out which one I do have and which one would work best.
Maybe I'll buy one of each as I need to get a DA556 from CanAm soon anyways.

Strange... the mag I ordered was in late June of this year. (definitely from CanAm)
Maybe the metal ones where old stock?? and they don't have them anymore.

My Grizzly (and the plastic mag that came with it) were bought in around February of this year.

If I can just figure out a mag that works and polish my chamber that gun will work flawlessly.
And with the Mesa Tactical recoil system I got on it makes it easy to shoot slugs all day, even for my tiny wife.
The jams are just a pita and an embarrassment in front if all the other shooters at the range.

I cleaned the mag, filed the rough spots, shortened the spring, adjusted the spring angle top side and spot welded a plate to the ram face.

I will try your trick too just fer the heck of it and see. It still works but still only 4 rounder.
