lol...I would say that it's an almost insignificant detail...there are plenty of alternatives out there. You've been drinking too much P-Mag cool-aid

I dont see it that way. It appears that gen 3 P mags have aligned themselves for a certain rifle(s) to the detriment of others (not just MH). That is life....
We dont have non-restricted AR's so it is what it is, and the comparisons are meaningless.
I am not going to burst a blood vessel because I cant use Magpul products. There are plenty of others to use.
Other rifles such as the RFB has its own issues as well re mags and people get by.
If Robinson Arms changes and ASC and all the others as well...that would be a different story. But each rifle maker has their own decisions to make.

The ATRS product is not a military product requiring millions of mags for military use. It is a semi custom product for certain people. The market is very small. The mag requirement is correspondingly smaller as well, as are spares etc.

Just as I dont care to use Norinco ammo in my MH, I dont care if a mag is not the cheapest one available. As long as good mags are available, not stupid pricey, and work... I am good.

ATRS will provide their own in due course and maybe other older rifles (not MH) that need gen 2 PMags will start to use ATRS mags.

So do we have to constantly keep making revisions to keep up with all of the Magpul koolaid?
Think about it, they are now running generation 3 mags, how many more generations are they going to go through? We ran literally thousands of rounds through Gen 2 mags without a hiccup, so how are the Gen 3s any improvement apart from that now they do not fit some rifles including ours? What happens when Magpul dumps the Gen 3s for Gen 4s and they don't fit?
We CAN revise our rifle in the future production runs to fit the Gen 3 mags but then MANY more mags will not work. I would prefer to keep the options as open as possible. Remember a few years ago when Pmags were unobtainium? Then what?
According to Magpul their Gen 3 mags fit all platforms. Well fellas I am here to tell you they are WRONG! They do not work in several other makers AR10 platforms and do not work in the XCR-M that I just tried them in.
It would have been nice IF the Pmags had worked, and they would have IF Magpul had not seen fit to change their mags.

With all the uproar about Pmags I am thinking we should have gone with a proprietary mag like Swiss Arms, or Sako has from the beginning and not had to deal with this.

Your real customer appreciates your decision to not go proprietary (last time I checked my TRG22 mags are over $250 each).

Revolvers RULE; remember that next time you BEND over to pick up brass OR ejected brass pings off the precision gear.
Looking for a car pool buddy for weekly weekday trips from Burnaby to POCO. Better yet I'll drive weekly and you take me hunting.

Lol, im not upset about it, the gen 3 mags i bought can go on ee, i was just excited about the 5/25 window mags, i think they are sharp looking. The best thing someone can do is make a list of all compatible mags, possibly in order if quality and where to get them. I don't care who makes the mags i buy for my MH as long as they are quality and are available.

People need to give the guys some space (time) to get things sorted out.

This is such a minor hiccup is not even worth talking about. Dissapointing? Sure, but if atrs makes their own mags for this, I'll be even happier than using magpul. I'd much rather buy Canadian made products. I think this whole thread should disappear and get rid of the negativity..
And for those who " need" magpul mags, just ask around, they are out there!

Said it before and I'm saying it again, if XCR 10Rd. mag.'s work the MH is golden.

Any old pre Gen #3Pmag magazine can be used for the occasional hunting trip, but ten rounders are where it's at and if ATRS builds the MH for Gen #3 Pmag.'s the XCR ten rounders wouldn't even work.

If ATRS made #3Rd., #5Rd. and #10Rd. mag.'s possible in the future great, but w/o a MH pistol #10Rd. mags ain't gonna happen (and a MH pistol ain't gonna happen as stated by ATRS previously) so enjoy the XCR #10Rd. mag.'s and give ATRS a break.

    Cheers D

I am fine with the Modern Hunter as it now. I don't mind not being able to use gen 3 pmags in it. Pmags don't meet NATO standards so a lot of guns won't take them. It would be nice to use them, but as long as any old mag will work I wouldn't change the layout of the gun to take one type of magazine. Metal magazines work just fine. Anyways when Magpul comes out with gen 4 pmags they probably will change a whole bunch again! Just leave the design alone and use the magazines that work with it. Their is no shortage of metal magazines.
