    New Barrie shooter.

Hey all. Im new to shooting, intend to to take NR, R and HE courses around the end of the month. Hoping to meet some other locals. Im hoping to line up a range and some land to shoot, possibly eventually hunt on. As far as clubs go I hope to get with the Barrie Gun Club. Absolutely no idea on the land part though. Can anyone advise anything or point me in a good direction with any of this, or of course just chat? Always happy to meet new people and obviously hoping to meet some other locals.

    Thanks in advance!

Far as I know, the CFB Borden Rod and Gun club still takes civilian members. Don't know if they do the assorted courses, but I'd be surprised if they do not.
Doing conservation work with them gets you into the draw for the on-base shotgun and bow deer hunt. Big deer living there.
