Yeah, that is high, meaning you need to add a cheek rider pad and that probably will interfere with the straight pull bolt

It is indeed high. I had this scope and rings on a Ruger SR762. I did not have lower rings but for now it is doing the job.

I did have some difficulty with cheek riser but figured a way for the bolt to not interfere.

I used Weaver low rings to get the scope to sit as low as possible.
With the Blackhawk! cheek riser, it's just right for me.
No problems working the bolt or removing it with that riser. I have to push the front of the riser pad down a bit to pull the bolt out, but it's foam, so no problem.

I'll be shooting it again in a couple of days. I'll see how well it holds zero.

I wasn't really trying for groups today, just wanted to get the scope sighted in. The shots weren't wandering all over the paper.
I did, however, put 10 rounds in one target with a group diameter of around 2 1/2" Didn't save the target.

By the way.................This mount must have some M.O.A. built in. I had to crank the scope down quite a bit when I sighted it in.
I initially sighted in at 25 meters just to get on paper. It was hitting about 6" high at 25 m. That works out to about 24" high at 100.
    20 M.O.A. rail???
Yea, I tried to zero my scope and ran out of vertical adjustment on my scope and was still shooting 5 inches high at 100 ! So i got out the dremel and sanded down the U shaped block that rests on the receiver bringing down the rear of the base down a bit . Now im zeroed with adjustment to spare up and down . This should be addressed in any new production of these, might not be a issue with a 30mm tube scope though , also the front corner of the rail should be removed or shaved back so scopes can be brought back more for less eye relief , mine is just ok. could not put a recol pad on though .. Also a peep sight drilled in it like the M14.ca mount would be cool , looks like it would be possible.

are they thinking about a second generation of these with the fixes being brought forward here?

I am up for one, but I don't like it in its current state.

    +1!

I wonder how many of the old ones they have to get rid of first before they will update it. If they ever order another run at all.

I think I will stick with the side mount, it's cheaper, lower, and works perfectly.
