What's the ratio berdan vs boxer so far???
Is there a way of seeing the difference without shooting it... JP.
There was a picture posted in this thread of the primers showing the differences. Anyone who has received a case it would be cool to know how many of each are in there. Not that it really matters as I have two crates coming anyway. Just curious.Originally Posted by caramel

Good info!!!Left is Boxer Hirt, right is Berdan. '79 and on should be Boxer and look like the right one but have 2 stars on either side if the case head. I'm surprised the wood crates are not marked with an indication of priming.

JP has 74 on the cartridge and on the label.. And Hitzy mentions that 79 + should be all boxer primed. So the outside label has the year marked on it ... So you can tell from the outside of the crate or battle pack???
I would really like to tap into your vast sources for differences.... How did you arrive at finding out all about the various contracts, both military and civilian, produced by HP ??
It is common knowledge that Berdan primers are STILL being used to this day....
