    Hunting With Tactical Stocks

I haven't taken the Hunter's course yet but I'd like to know whether you're allowed to or if it's frowned upon for hunting with a tactical stocked firearm.

As long as your meeting OAL legal requirements, you can use a "tactical" stock. The only exception are bullpup add-on stocks, as those are prohibited.

There are many turkey hunters who like a pistol grip style buttstock for their shotguns as it is more ergonomic for bringing the gun up to shoulder from a seated still position.

Of course someone will disagree with your choice of firearm.
Its just the way some people are...

Here's my main hunting rifle. It gets lots of looks when I'm out. It's not the typical wood/blued or synthetic/stainless.

    I like it
curious about how much it weighs tho ?

and OP , the rifle you should use for killin animals is the one yer most comfortable shooting. I also find with a couple of my hunting rifles that I can shoot them much better off hand in pistol gripped stocks.
