I'd like a range report too, shooting videos would be great as well.

One possible advantage of the takedown feature I see is that this gun could be carried in a pack taken down in areas where firearms must be encased. Here in Alberta there are parks and wilderness areas that firearms aren't banned but must be in a case. This gun taken down in a case/pocket/pouch on the outside of a pack would be very comforting in my opinion.

If I had the coin I would be all over this rifle.

If they come up with a version with a 16" barrel so I can take it to the USA when I go hunting there that is $800 cheaper I'm getting one.
And I want to see how the new stainless finish stands up to the elements.
I already have a Chiappa Mare's Leg take down in 44 Mag and am very happy with the materials (great wood), workmanship, fit/finish and functionality.

That picture almost brings a bit of a tear to my eye...

I wonder how hard it would be for Chiappa to machine some integral mounts on one of their Octagon barrels similar to what Grizzly Custom does on their 39 makeovers.
Still curious if the initial takedown that started this thread is drilled and tapped on the barrel as it appears in the photos? Is a rail availlable? I assume it would be have been mentioned if the rail was included in the purchase price.

Any word on if this will be the first and only run of these? Funds are WAY too tight right now but this gun would be perfect for use at work in remote locations and when out in the bush.
