Hey Hical. how is that ncstar compact scope holding up? Was considering it since its so short, but lots of bad press about them.

I have mounted a VZ58 pistol grip the same way. I used a dremel to adjust the shape first and then dilled the wooden stock and used a wooden screw (you will have to adapt the length and diammetre to your situation) to secure it......
I will post picture of mine when it will be completed.

friendly, i drilled a hole into the trigger group and put a bolt through the pistol grip through the trigger group with a nut at the end which i grinded to have a angle on it so it would fit flat on the trigger group. you have to remove the spring in the stock that pushes the trigger group out and drill it out a bit so a nut and bolt can fit inside. it used an AR 15 pistol grip
