When it all comes down, the last man standing is going to be standing there in shorts and sneakers [armed] with a '98 Mauser, and all the ninja-looking guys belly up at his feet- with all their cool gear

I read it briefly, thank you very much. I still have to read it over in depth and email back, might be a couple of days.

These nitescouts may be a blessing in desguise if IRG can't track down any replacement LUSA A2 parts. So long as the mag catch is interchangeable...I may finally...one day, have a working Lusa.

It isn't. The NiteScout uses different mags. Uzi I believe. The Lusa is proprietary.

Might be able to modify the Lusa to take uzi mags using a NiteScout mag catch.

So about a month or so ago IRG sent me out the NR restricted barrel for some field testing. Put a few rounds through it... here is what happened...

    1) 5 rounds Remington HTP 9mm Luger +P 115gr JHP. No rounds on paper from the bench at 25 yards. I blame the crappy sights. 5th round FTF, primer hit. Re chambered it and it fired. Light primer strike.

    2) 5 rounds Remington HTP 9mm Luger +P 115gr JHP. Shot from 10 yards out, standing. No FTF. No FTE. See pic 1 for shots.

    3) 5 rounds Remington HTP 9mm Luger +P 115gr JHP. Shot from 10 yards out, standing. No FTF. No FTE. See pic 2 for shots.

    4) 5 rounds PMC Bronze 9mm 124gr FMJ. Shot from 10 yards out, standing. No FTF. No FTE. See pic 3 for shots.

    5) 5 rounds PMC Bronze 9mm 124gr FMJ. Shot from 10 yards out, standing. No FTF. No FTE. See pic 4 for shots.

    6) 5 rounds Remington UMC 115gr MC. Shot from 10 yards out, standing. No FTF. No FTE. See pic 5 for shots.

    7) 5 rounds Remington UMC 115gr MC. Shot from 10 yards out, standing. No FTF. No FTE. See pic 6 for shots.

    8) 85 rounds Remington UMC 115gr MC. Shot from 10 yards out, standing. Varying speed on mag dumps. Double taps and all 5 at once. No FTE or FTF.

    9) 5 rounds Remington UMC 115gr MC. Round 3 FTF. Tap and rack, round 4 fires and ejects. Round 5 FTF. Clear gun. Reload round 3 and 5 into mag. Both show primer strike. Second attempt to shoot round 3 and 5 is successful with no FTF or FTE. Remove barrel, wipe chamber end down with dry paper towel to remove soot built up. Re-install barrel.

    10) 5 rounds Remington UMC 115gr MC. 4th round FTF. Tap, rack, 5th shoots. Reload 4th round, fires. Had primer strike.

    11) 5 rounds Remington UMC 115gr MC. No FTF or FTE.

    12) Next 30 rounds Remington UMC 115gr MC. No FTF or FTE. Mag dumps and double taps. Include 5+1 on two mags for 6 shot dumps.

In total there were 165 rounds fired. Of that,
    - 15 were Remington HTP 9mm Luger +P 115gr JHP
    - 10 were PMC Bronze 9mm 124gr FMJ (Really thought I loaded more of that but I got lost in the UMC feed bag)
    - 140 were Remington UMC 115gr MC

1 FTF with Remington HTP. 3 FTF with Remington UMC
