    Custom S&W runs?

    Gentlemen

In reading your forum I see that you've in the past had at least one special run of Canadian-Legal S&W revolvers made for our market.

If that is still feasible I would like to toss out a few ideas to see what sort of response they might receive.

First off would be for a 4.25" or greater Model 625 45ACP revolver. (or possibly a 45ACP version of their current Model 25 Classic) - this is the biggest hole in the DA revolver market in Canada right now

The second would be for a 4.25" Model 27

S&W lists both of these types in 4" version only

    Finally would be a 4.25 or 5" 586

Yes, I agree! I think a 4.25" model 625 in 45acp would be Fantastic! They already make the 4" in the USA; we just need another few mm's.

A 4.25" M27 and 586 would be icing on the cake!

My preference is for the square butt and blued finish so the last one was just a personal thing. well....that goes for the 27 as well, I suppose.

a 4.25" 27 classic would be sweet (a 6 shot version please). They made a nice performance centre classic 27 with a 5" barrel but it was an 8 rounder.

Just out of curiousity, how come you prefer 6 over 8? I'm a "more ammo is always better" guy hehe. Is it due to the increased cylinder size?

    Nice!

I prefer 6 because ..... Because that's what revolvers are meant to be. You burn less ammo for one thing

Also I shoot a lot of single action and so even loading 6 I many times end up shooting 5 out of habit.

Anyway, if I was to buy a fancy 8 shot I'd go all the way with a 627, slab barrel, and all.

    In a classic line gun it's just....wrong..

But we do need a 4.2" model 27 all the same

    And a 45ACP gun. 25/625 - I expect the 625 would be more popular.

6 is just more classic to me. 8 just seems like a lot to cram into that cylinder even if it is an n-frame, and, aesthetically, the fluting on an 8 rounder just looks a little too busy for my taste. Always thought 7 would have made more sense and the cylinder notches would have been offset, though i'm sure there are no strength issues with an 8 round 27/627.

    I'd be interested in both a .45acp Model 25 and a Model 27 in 4.2". I'd also like to see a blued K frame in 4.2"
Fan of Browning Hi-Powers and both S&W and Colt revolvers
