Now that I think of it, there are some classic army targets that I might actually buy if they were printed on appropriate paper. There are some neat WWII era ones. I'm sure there are people who have used the .22 ones that the bullsyeye is only black in a semicircle. They're actually not a bad target to shoot at.

Would be nice if there was more contrast , i bought some and because of the grey ish tone and black/white, its tuff to tell were you hit the target. i recommend going more just white with black outlines.

Personally, I like the deck of cards targets I made up. Buddies and I play rimfire poker: shoot five offhand at 50, best hand wins. If we're both on or have the good rifles out, we cover the targets with plain paper and shoot blind.

For an IDPA target, do you prefer a black body, or lines only (mostly white page)?

I like the "5 Star" type targets, as it provides many points to aim at

    Kinda link this

But with 5 pointed stars (each point provides a target, as well as center) on a grid

I like this though I wonder about the ability to see bullet holes in the black. May I suggest a color choice that would provide more contrast for .22 diameter holes? Also, how about numbering the targets 1-8 to make it easier to communicate with your not so bright spotter.

    Thanks,
    Cal.

EDIT: I like the squares, circles and triangles...great for sighting in without spoiling a target.

I like using a simple diamond shaped target.
