John -- can you shed some light on the nature of the "old silver" models?
Are they the same steel as the blued models, only left in the white, or is it something else.
I'm thinking of shooting some black powder again so I'm leaning towards a stainless gun for piece of mind.
The "old silver" finish applies to some revolvers that were left in the white and treated to the appearance of old tarnished silver, very nice indeed. I have an engraved one that was made for me before they went into production, amazing looks, amazingly accurate.
Of course if you plan on shooting black powder then stainless is the way to go, but it does not have the 'authentic look of yesteryear.... '

Thank you for the information. I do like the look of the old silver. I think I would have to have that finish in the engraved as well. I don't normally go for the "aged" look, but in this case it seems most suitable and sets off the engraving very well.
I'd ask about layaway, but I'm already borrowed-up for the next few months lol. If I miss out this go-round I'll get one the next time they come in.
