From what i've heard, the Canadian market has sufficient demand to keep ya'll busy. More Modern Hunters for us besides, with the new varmint hunter on the way, I don't want to have to compete with the American's to get a rifle from a canadian retailer.

Don't export rifles. Become a supplier for a US company (that you own) that "builds" the final rifle in the US. After a certain amount parts and labour are considered American, then it is "made in the USA". Hell, it works for Harley-Davidson.

no one in the U.S. would buy them anyways, they have ready access to the AR-10 platform at a much smaller price.

It might be a sign of the times. It has often been said that parts of the US government want to ban assault rifles. If the reclassified many of them they could squeeze the market without creating new laws. Kinda like the RCMP does here.

The recent sale of ACR's in the usa of close to $1000 off retail shows how few other rifles than AR's are really selling stateside.

US manufacturers look at canada as a small market, the US has at least ten times the people, so even if they sell 10 dow there for everyu one in canada, the market is just as small.

    YES.
They may not love guns, but they know how to protect their own interests.

Do you seriously believe that the reason Dlask Arms cannot sell his version of an AR15 (made from US raw upper/lowers) is all about safety?
The reason for the Lend-Lease import restrictions is all about protecting their industry also.

Our Modern Hunter has been deemed a "NON sporting" rifle in the USA.
What this means is that our US cousins can never own one of these. Sucks to be them.
What this means for us is that these rifles CAN be taken into the USA on a temporary basis with a Form 6NIA should any of the owners of these decide to go hunting or shooting in the USA.
