The Modern Hunter and the US of A

Just got the verdict back from the folks at BATFE in the US of A.
Our Modern Hunter has been deemed a "NON sporting" rifle in the USA.
What this means is that our US cousins can never own one of these. Sucks to be them.
What this means for us is that these rifles CAN be taken into the USA on a temporary basis with a Form 6NIA should any of the owners of these decide to go hunting or shooting in the USA.

That sucks for your business. I am sure you would have liked that market. On the plus side more for us...

That's actually hilarious. Shows how twisted the different "regulatory" bodies are in both the US and Canada.
So its a "Non-sporting" rifle down there and a sporting rifle up here and they call their AR's "sporting" rifles and "modern" hunter rifles - that's just amazing.
Hell was full, so I came back.

It IS protectionism, but "free trade" is a joke on a good day and frankly not worth the time to bother filing a complaint.
We are hard pressed keeping up with demand for Canada.
I just thought it was funny that apart from bolt actions EVERY rifle we manufacture has been deemed a weapon of war in the USA.
A folks think our laws are screwy? Oh wait, they are!!

Many of the parts ARE made in the USA, just not the upper and lower, yet still no go.
