New SKS Stock Arriving in 4 weeks!

Ok im about 80% on board with this stock.

THe mag well is a bumer but not the end of the world. Iwould love to see it take straight mags but I recognize the problems of making a drop in chasis be whats holding the mag instead of the reciever...

but the deal breaker for me is mag related

that "mag release" has always been the bain for me, it turned me off of tapco mags because it took more effort then just dropping in a striper clip.

Now that you have a solid aluminium chassis why not integrate a mag release paddle?
You need to for the SKS release backwards.... so put in a leaver that when you push forward on it like you wood for a AK mag the other end pas the fulcrum pushes back on the SKS release? it would be integrated as part of that mag well lot of leverage with a modest paddle. It would make the mag changes one handed, easy and fast.

So with the forward rail do you keep your existing wooden hand guard on the original gas tube or does their new rail fit on to it?

You remove the wood for clearance. The rail is part of the chassis & very solid for an optic mount.
