It will require a change of legislation to materialize those marching orders. Those who own 858's etc. have little less than a year assuming they don't launch class action.

Unlikely. They are no longer made. The prices will hover around there if not go up a bit.

Yes, but there are products which are replacing them. 958 when it comes and the Type 81. Just because something is no longer made does it make it go up in price. The Pontiac Aztek should be worth $50,000 by now if that was the case.

LOL! Funny! But nearly all firearms always increase in value unless abused. Most cars do not.

That is my assumption based on how legislation moved before. To enable RCMP to re-classify, the government has to make an amendment to the C-42 Act, 3 parliamentary readings, senate readings and committee. I bet the RCMP brass has re-classification documents drawn up already and as soon as the amended C-42 gets Queen's ascent, they'll create some new criminals out of perfectly honest and good Canadians. My hope is however,a) that last Friday's announcement was for now only an announcement because there was a push from the losers in this country who somehow cling to that 100 days in office bull, so then it might not be as fast, b) if the truly move fast, there would be an immediate injunction applied for and class action filed shortly after. Either way, Liberals somehow think that by using RCMP to do their dirty laundry, there would be no political fallout. That assumption is of course dead wrong because there will be one but gun owners will be stuck in that situation. And as TD mentioned, yes there will be more than just 858's and SA's. Right now we just have to wait, watch and gather resources and most of all, BAND TOGETHER, because divided we will fall.

One model out of god knows how many is not an indicator of anything. If anyone here was any good at predicting future values of consumer goods, we would all be very very wealthy. Things that cost a lot when new, tends to hold value better than most. 99.9% will tank.

If anyone here thinks the CZ858 is actually going to go up in value, why don't you guys load up on 100 units of it at the asking price of $1,500 on EE if you're so sure it will go up, you'll make an easy profit. lol

The fact that they're still for sale means the market does not value it at $1,500, what make you think they will pay more for the foreseeable future? If they're not selling, it means no one is buying.

    VZ58, 958, Type 81

EE sure thinks so. Land of $300 dollar SKS and $800 dollar Glock 17's.
