Question about prepping sks magwell for the adapter - metal removal

I haven't been able to find an install video on this. Im looking at the first picture in the picture tutorial and its hard to tell how much metal has been removed from the slope below the chamber. A picture from the top after the finished work would help. Do you take the metal right down to the outer surface of the chamber?

Thanks but nope. In your pictures it looks like you haven't even touched the part I'm talking about. Cheers for the effort though

Look down at the chamber through the top. That little sloped section just below the chamber. I dont know what its called it looks like a ramp of some sort. I need to know how much of that to take off if Im going to buy the adapter.

    Test fit lots.

It is easier to remove more metal than to put any back :-P

I just recently did this install, I did a lot of test fitting and reading their instruction manual very carefully. I found dremeling the bevel down to a square worked great. Basically what I did was put the mag adapter ontop on the gun body lock it in place and marked my cuts with a sharpie.. Btw I killed my dremel doing this so I suggest using a 1/4 inch die grinder with a tungsten carbide bit.

I milled mine just about flush without actually touching the face of the barrel. here's a couple of pics.
(can anyone explain why my rifles always look dirtier in pictures ?? )

And for the bolt hold open I plunged a 3/8 end mill in deepening the existing cutout by about an 1/8" .....

I took my rifle out for a test drive yesterday, and it worked like a charm ! Over 200 rounds - zero stoppages !!

Very happy, a well made product !
Madness does not always howl. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "Hey, is there room in your head for one more?
