Sorry I didn't mean to suggest that the HP primers are hard. I was just trying to say that it is possible that the CCI BR2 primers might be softer. Truth is I don't really know.
By the way I still think this is very good ammunition even though my rifle doesn't like it. Previous posts on the same ammo suggest that some guns do very well with it.
I find the CCI br2 and br4 primers are definitely on the softer side. Have experienced minor flattening, even with minimum loads but I usually look for cratering
Military ammo will always have harder primers, just nature of the beast, as well as crimped primers and usually harder brass, which sometimes makes the reloading process a slight bit more challenging.
