870 sling plate + moe forend interference?

Hi i recently purchased an MOE forend for my 870 and found that with the stock mag tube extension and an after market sling plate (which sits behind the locking nut of the tube extension) that it interfered with the cycling of the action. I notice that the mag tube and sling plate you offer has the plate in front of the locking nut. Is the plate on it far enough forward that it clears the magpul forend?

Yes, this also occurs when you use the factory magazine cap and MOE forend on a 12.5 " DA Grizzly.
You must either not use the sling attachment or use a different forend.

yes i get that, my question is whether or not the tube extension S&J offers which has the sling plate ahead of the locking nut avoids this problem. If it does i'm probably getting it.

On mine i just bent off the old sling attachment and drilled a hole thru the center of the locking nut and attached a regular sling point....
make the hole slightly bigger than the sling point post and thread the nut on the inside with red loc tite and leave it just slightly loose....then you can attach your sling and it will swivel either way.....so it wont bind up

looks good too....if it wasnt such a pain to post pic..i would

thanks, i look forward to the answer.

have i mentioned that the reason i'm looking at this option rather than simply using the stock swivel on the mag tube clamp is because i hate sling swivels? I don't like that they swivel. I don't like that they move, nothing on my gun beyond it's functioning parts should move.
