these would work great for bear defense. From having a lot of personal experience in bear territory, you need two things to make sure you're safe in bear country. A good firearm (shotgun is an excellent choice) and a casual acquaintance, who stumbles a lot and you know you can outrun. if you have both of these you'll be fine.

Mr. Wolverine is a lefty and he can work the UTS-15 very handily. While not ideal they will work fine for folks who don't want to learn how to shoot from the proper side (sorry I couldn't resist )
