Almost bought a 929, then decide for range shooting moons are too much trouble compared to 686.
Revolvers RULE; remember that next time you BEND over to pick up brass OR ejected brass pings off the precision gear.
Looking for a car pool buddy for weekly weekday trips from Burnaby to POCO. Better yet I'll drive weekly and you take me hunting.
You'll get light strikes if you're not using moon-clips on the 929.
I load up a bunch of MCs before hitting the range. Easy & quick to load/unload and keeps the empty casings together…..

I made a quick review on this revolver
Any chance of a 929 / 986 in 4.2"/106mm?
Thanks.
Ounces leads to pounds, pounds lead to pain.
Light, strong and cheap - pick two.
I have both and can say the moons are faster to reload and pickup brass in matches.
I don't consider the 686 faster with speedloaders, but it's much easier to load single rounds old school for target practice.
I usually load about 40 clips for the 929 ahead of time so it's no biggie for matches or practice.
I still love both guns and find the 686 more accurate with 38 SPL Wadcutters.
I received my 929 'Micheluk' about 6 weeks ago and have to say that it is a wonderful pistol to shoot. Accurate and smooth. But it needs the moon clips. (8 shot) But it only came with 3. Can anybody advise where I could buy more, maybe a few dozen of them?
Thanks in advance.
