No, you're right. They keep their most "up to date stuff" pretty close. To be honest, I enjoy the safety set up when combined with the T97.ca LHG. Yeah, some people follow the "my finger is my safety" philosophy, but there is a reason all firearms have them. At some point there will be a reason to use it, and I find having the two safeties just gives more options as far as manipulation goes, not to mention it's very useful when teaching others how to shoot (as in showing them that the gun won't fire until they do A and B).
