I also like the look of the new barrel shroud, but I wonder how it'd feel weight-wise if removed?

And any benefit of a longer barrel for an "SMG" besides being non res?

Longer barrel could equal higher velocity (9mm 115gn/124gn only.) Longer barrel could be detrimental to heavier rounds (causing drag on bullet slowing it down before exiting barrel.)

I've got a 9mm version on pre-order. I've got a nice 124gn load ready to test (1250fps out of 4.5" barrel and a slow powder which should be terrific out of the longer barrel.)
