I didn't realize you guys were in the cooking oils businessIn all seriousness though, this stuff works great if you're USING your gun, however for storage I suggest using something meant for rust prevention as this stuff eventually gums up if left unused.
Yeah, for any of the new oils, basically remove it all for storage.

I have found that this only gums up for storage if there is another oil present. I usually clean all my rifles with isopropyl alcohol to remove any previous lube and then use Fire Clean. For anyone who read what that blog posted. Any organic oil like Fire Clean or Frog Lube will be a plant based oil. This stuff works. Works especially well on the gas piston of a vz58.
