It's good they're in school, if not it would be a day off and still wouldn't care. At least this way they get a assembly.... although the rest of the day should be learning about the history and Canada's part in it.

I grew up in a house and province where there are few days more scared than Nov 11th. For that I am thankful. Everything here shuts down, many take their kids to an event somewhere to pay respect.

I lived in Ottawa for 5 years, my first year there I was shocked and Saddened that our nations Capital went about its Normal Routine.
