It shoots as good as one could expect out of surplus ammo and my rookie skills.
I often hit 1.5" groups with it. I think with hand loads it's easily get under 1". Here's some targets from it off a sand bag. My lead sled sits too high to use at my range. It'd be nice to take my shaky element out of it and see what it can do.
I'd say look for one with a shiny bore and check the bore diameter by inserting a bullet into the muzzle and picking the one that goes down the least. Out of all my Mosins the most accurate are the tightest bores and still shiny.
