This is sig's earlier generation of the p320 before there was a p320, its hammer fired but its double action only, if you can get over the long trigger pull its a great gun

Trigger pull just like a revolver which I personally like........it's absolutely a tack driver right out of the box no mods necessary over 1000 rounds thru mine slide has never NOT locked back on am empty mag.....sweet gun sweet price BUY ONE!

it is most likely how you are holding it with a thumb touching the slide release
