    It took them 3 months to RENEW my PAL! Sheesh!

    my daughter waited 5 MONTHS after calling once a month for 4 months she was told they would fast track it and it should come in two weeks. They said they were back logged!

    Waited 19 months for mine. If you have in contact with the law it takes a lot longer. I called bi-weekly to check the status and got the same answer every single time, its with the CFO for review.

    Can't remember how long it took with the old FAC 20 years ago but it didn't take as long as some of you guys for sure. Just took less than 2 weeks as of today to order a revolver from Marstar and have it come in today, in Quebec no less.

    My first FAC took about 5 minutes. That's how long it took the woman to type it up and collect my 10 or 15 bucks (don't quite remember the cost now). Simply filled out the application at home, took it in (designated firearms officer at any RCMP station) and they gave you your FAC "right there".

    I guess we were a whole lot "less dangerous" back in the early 1980's

    I did through rcmp website , i did selfie by iFone , filled up application , credit card . It was January 5th 16 , on 25th of Feb website shows "initial process" , i felt upset myself . Couple days after i decided to call them , i checked my status and it shows "license sent out " March 1st i found envelope with my new lic. In total it takes 42 Biz. days .
