So what would be a stupid reason?
If these guns were on their way to Mexican drug cartels, there would have been no problem. (Google Operation Fast and Furious).
On another note, there were no serial #'s until many years ago, and the US Constitution does not authorize the government to mandate serial #'s, nor SBRs, and many other things.

Short Answer. There will be a new owner/management soon, and it will be business as usual.
That's good. The initial story just sounded to me like the BATF putting a bunch of people out of work for the sins of one man.
Keeping it real on the range since before there was a CGN.

I received my new Stag Arms 3GL from Arms East Friday Jan 22 2016 with no issues. Great dealing with Walter and Liam. Took her to the range today and put 6 boxes through her with no issues. Fit and finish was excellent.

I will be a repeat customer of Arms East.

    New Ownership, New Management.
    Business as usual…
    - Elite System Performance
    - IPSC-IDPA-CSSA-CCFR-NFA-CGN ~ DVC ~
    - Slow is smooth, smooth is fast
    - Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it.
