    Excellent thread I do love my Swede, though I don't actually own an old milsurp, it's a new fangled Tikka. I need to get myself an M96 to go with it.

    6.5 x 55 is an awesome cartridge.

    an old swede with the original military cartridge and a good barrel is as good as any bolt action rifle you can buy today.

    I bought my M/96 with Soderin sight from Trade Ex two years ago, and it remains my most accurate rifle. Highly recommend purchasing one.
