Just wondering if ATRS is trying to help out with shaving some weight off of this rifle...the weight seems to be a common concern for those that are buying the Modern Hunter to actually hunt with it?

It's what proves to officer tackleberry that you're not hunting with a restricted gun.

I can almost guarantee the response will be "we're working really hard to make it as light as possible while bearing in mind safety as a first priority and cost as a second".... and I believe them 100% on that. They carry and use these guns too, so they'd want lighter too if it was possible!!!

Lol. No where did I say he would be doing extended fire. I was simply pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of each, and left it up to him to decide what suited him best. I try to be informative in my comments so future readers can get the most out of this thread and not just tell the OP what he needs.

Let OP make his own decisions, just help him be informed.

    Well said.

Writing for those looking in the future is helpful - especially since when someone dares ask a question that's already been answered they get lambasted for not searching first!!!!
