From reading the article, it seems that they more closely resemble a SKS, so a $2000 price point doesnt work for me. I would also wait to see about performance before getting one. Would like to see that the first ones dont come with a bunch of feed and ftf issues; and i already have a shotgun, so accuracy would have to be better than typical SKS.

With new production costs and our dollar, I'll put a SWAG out there saying close to $800. One can hope =)

So, the question is, based on the RCMP note about the 'easily converted' are they now allowing the market to be flooded by these types of firearms, highlighting the 'loopholes' in the current laws, which will force action by the current government to slam the door shut, and add additional prohibitions? The initial article spoke of these being developed in the 80's and having the fun switch. The Norinco being developed for the Canadian market would be semi auto only>>>>>thus new manufacture only. Converted....variant.....other BS words apply.
