H&K has released its civilian version of the SP89 in a semi-auto only pistol variant called the SP5K. Is this a model that you will look at importing into Canada? Demo versions submitted to the RCMP lab? Any update would be appreciated. Here it is.

Perhaps. Although the UMP is a named prohibited firearm and the semi-auto only version of that, called the USC, in .45acp is available as a restricted firearm to the civilian market in Canada. There could be precedent, hence the inquiry into North Sylva.Originally Posted by onetwentyish

The lab rats sharted over a .22 if you recall.
They would sell more units of this than B&T TP9 for certain even if cost is twice that! I agree that this situation is similar to USC/UMP, Sorpion and BRS99 among others, so may not necessarily be prohib. Worth a try at least. I would definitely buy one!......
