I don't think so, prices have gone up, due to the dollar. I had bought direct from Holosun.ca before dealers had the 515C model .. and it was 284 at the time ( I think ). New pricing was just over 300 I think .. so it's only a couple dollar difference.

Can any one comment on how these optics are compared to the Vortex optics of similar price and style? So the Sparc 2 vs that new holoson?

The big difference is Vortex has a lifetime transferable warranty on everything and Holosun has a 3 year warranty on electronics 4 years on the glass and lifetime on the aluminum case..... for the original owner only. Holosun likes to refer to their lifetime warranty but they don't advertise the 3 year limit on the guts.

Optics quality is pretty much the same but Holosun wins it for me with with the solar power feature on top of battery life hours. Holosun is almost too cheap for what it offers.
