They eject like spent casings would. I'm not sure how often I'll take it out, I bought it for the novelty and somewhat rarity
    Seriously!?

You'd have to pay ME $169 to deal with that crap. Balls, that sounds tedious! Shotgun inserts for game-getting are one thing, but a semi pistol? Who came up with this?

And how! Lol. I'm sure it was a cost saving measure and built for training purposes.

I always thought the same thing... always tempted to buy one but as you said, seems like it would get old fast, looking for the inserts after they go flying.

At $169 I was really tempted to try it out... when I see them on the EE for $500 its one of those moments when I really do laugh out loud.

Yes I have 3 of them and haven't event fitted one yet, just a novelty. The polish I think designed these, not sure why they didn't just go all the way and make the chamber and mag for .22, maybe it was a punishment for a soldier to have to pick up and search for everyone's inserts!! There are other inserts being made in Canada and are milled to fit sportowy's with a bit better aluminum. The nice thing about the Sportowy is they are nicely finished and I believe a lot of the parts can be used on a regular tt33!

Like someone else said, it seems like a punishment gun.
Punishment is picking up everyone's inserts and then trying to find the gun that the inserts fit.
