Something we are looking for some feedback on.

We are currently dealing with a company who has given us a prototype of their product to evaluate.
I'm looking for some feedback from you LE/Military and potentially hunters etc.

This is a heating panel that is designed to fit inside plate carriers, vests etc. There is no reason it could not be fitted inside of overalls or other types of clothing.
The idea is to keep the core warm and maintain a constant temperature, when the outside temperature drops, increasing alertness and comfort. This is especially important for periods of low movement or
inactivity (tree stands, ERT/SWAT callouts, etc).

It attaches with velcro but with a little ingenuity other methods could be used. It has a pocket or belt mounted battery pack that will last for 8 hours. It in no
    way impedes any movement.

The heat never reaches a temperature that will burn you or over heat you. It is waterproof and weatherproof and can stretch up to 200% their normal length.

    It is only 0.8mm thick.

You can charge the battery in vehicle or from a regular outlet. If you purchased additional battery packs, you can swamp them out quickly and easily.

We don't have any prices etc on these yet, but we are looking for thoughts and feedback from you folks who might have use for one of these.

    I can't speak for Mil/Leo.

But as a hunter, and a sportsman I sure can.....

I think it's a great idea. I'm not sure if I would be in the market for such a device right now, but in the future I will be.

I already have a battery heated Milwakee jacket, red in color, that I use exclusively as a hunting jacket. With 3 heating levels and a replaceable lithium cordless tool battery it pretty hard to beat. And at a cost of about $200, it is relatively affordable.

I think a product such as you are looking at would be a pretty good alternative, as long as prices stay competitive in the market.

I also see users in the snowmobile/quadding market and in the construction industry......

That would be a nice piece of kit in an OP in the cooler seasons or on night sentry. I don't know though how many times in an OP you have access to recharge capability so you start getting into additional batteries. What is the mass of the system?

Depending on price, I see a use for hunters, motorcyclists etc. as well
    Is it 12v?

Looks like an interesting piece of kit that could be used for a variety of the shooting sports as well as ice fishing, snowshoeing, plinking and pretty much anything involving spending time in the cold. Price would be the big thing, particularly with where the Cdn. dollar sits.

If it's in my price range I'd be happy to try it out.

I'd be putting this where it can heat the lumbar region of my back. When I get cold from inactivity, all of those muscles start tensing to create warmth.

Depending on price I would be interested in one.
