It can become a part of your RPAL if you meet the 6 requirements and the CFO attaches it, however it is not automatic. Call your CFO before you attempt any type of travel with your Restricted.

    Wut?
NFA member. Because it's not just about "sport shooting"

Yep. That's their policy. I write the test next week. Then KABOOM.

Sounds like eohc. Buddy of mine has to do 5 probationary shoots before he's allowed to bring his own restricteds. He didn't mention a test afterwards though. Bunch of control freaks wrote their rulebook.

Hey guys, not sure if that has been answered else where on the forum but:

I signed up for a pistol course at my local range and they told me I dont need an ATT anymore in order to transport my handgun from my house to the range, i was told that ended last september. Is this true? I can't get through to RCMP to answer the question atm.

Of course you need an ATT, we all do. It's just attached to your license electronically now.

If you have not transferred an restricted or renewed your license since the law was passed you in fact do not have an ATT attached to your liscence. And your old paper one is required until you do.

That is what the law is.

And that is the exact opposite of what the CFP and CFO are telling people.

    What province?
Probably Ontario. I had my first restricted long before I joined a range.

That maybe, unfortunately that is what the law says

Go ahead and ask for that in writing and see what answer they then give you

Kind of like how they told everyone they had to have a club membership to transfer a gun? Because they never pass on crap info at the CFP right?
