Hello all, I just completed my non-restricted yesterday and was strongly recommended by my instructor to hit up this forum to continue my learning experience.
I've always had an interest in collecting weapons (to the surprise of anyone who knows me (not that it's something I tend to advertise)). Made some friends in the Navy this year who have been encouraging me to hit the range with them so I thought it best to go take the safety course.
As for my background, I spent about 10 years in I.T. and at one point owned a computer store (not my best decision as it turns out I'm really bad at up-selling or trying to talk people into things they don't need).
I left that career to return to school, which started as a Psych degree but is now shaping up to a Social Work degree as I've been working in Suicide prevention and education as well as a youth short term group home so it seemed to fit better.
