Yes it does have the series 80 firing pin blockI read somewhere that Remington is using a firing pin block similar to the series 80. Would this commemorative pistol also have it?
Here's the thing in my mind......Other than cosmetics is this any different than a regular $1,099 Remington R1 Enhanced?
Fan of Browning Hi-Powers and both S&W and Colt revolvers
I would say the difference between the Centennial and the Enhanced is a bit more than just cosmetics. This is just info pulled from Remington's website:
Anniversary engraving made with 24-kt gold banner on the slide. Also features a carbona blue finish and a 14-kt gold bead in the front sight. I think there are only 500 of these.
Adjustable rear sight with red fiber-optic front sight
Front and rear slide serrations
Beavertail grip safety with checkered memory bump
Enhanced hammer
Anodized aluminum match trigger
Enhanced wide thumb safety
Flat checkered mainspring housing (20 LPI)
Match-grade stainless barrel and bushing
Front grip strap serrations
Custom grips with thumb groove and ambi cut
8-Round magazine with bumper pads (2)
