    Safe, restricted and trigger lock

    Hi All,

Just wondering on opinions as to whether people put a trigger lock on their restricted handguns if it is put into a safe (smaller sentry electronic safe attached to wall and studs) with ammunition also in safe. I know there is no legal requirement but was wondering what the consensus was.

I don't put the trigger lock on, when in the safe. I store my ammo separate, mainly 'cause of the space issue.

    ^^^^^^^^^ This.

But personally, I do. Mostly because I like to have it ready to grab and go to the range.

By law a restricted weapon does not have to be trigger/action locked when in a safe, some people do to be 100% in the green. Ammunition in that locked safe whether loose or in charged magazines is 100% OK.
Just some random gun toting weeb in Alberta.

This is why mine has a trigger lock on it, just for convenience of heading to the range at a moments notice.

No trigger locks in safe , however I have 2 safes, ammo in one, mags in another...... gun not much good without a mag and a mag not much good without a gun.
