I know you are right, but it should also be illegal to destroy pieces of history that are owned by a family, I wish I could take ownership of a few of my grandfathers in working order. Every time I see a prohib that can no longer be passed on in its actual form it makes me angry. What other pieces of history are mandated to be destroyed or surrendered? None. Makes me sick.

I had an AUG in my "younger years" -paid about $4000 as I recall - had a BALL with it shooting 3 gun matches - 40 round mags - but then ...first it became restricted, then a bit later it became "grandfathered restricted" meaning you could only sell it to someone else who also had an AUG , then later you had to get a special ATT to transport it to a range to shoot it THEN the death knell struck when the issue when to the Senate and in their infintismal wisdom they decided "NO you can KEEP the AUG and "possess it" ... you just CAN'T Transport it to SHOOT IT". Out of stubborness I kept it for years until I "gave it" to a friend of mine in the movie business. AND of interest - within about 3 days of completing the transfer - I got a new RPAL in the mail ... minus the 12(4) ... amazing how quickly SOME transfers and registrations CAN take place ...?????

Send them to Flying Scotsman's Museum of Political Stupidity.

...Seriously though, if that Sterling was a .3, .5, or .6, I'd already have the cheque in the mail.

Can't these be legally exported to the US (at least the Uzi and AUG as they will have the original US import marks)? /
