There is websites that sell bear rugs. You would pay a premium for it though. I think the most cost effective option is to check Kijiji or the EE. Usually there is people selling bear rugs for way cheaper than you can get done. Some person who is moving or just doesn't want a bear rug anymore.
Also spring bear season has just ended here in most of AB. The actual hide isn't worth much.The cost of getting it taxidermied is the real killer.

Check with places like Halford Hides in Edmonton. They usually have a warehouse full of just about every critter you can find in Canada.

Forget the bear hide....nothing says "man cave" like a buffalo hide on the floor
Try Kulash Taxidermy ..... They do a lot of work for the movie industry as well as for hunters.
Halford has them in stock.
The Yukon Trappers Association used to have an outlet in Whitehorse. Don't know if it's still going but they had a wide variety of rugs. Maybe call tourist information at Swan Lake...
