I'd even be interested in some projectiles for the 38-200

Some smokin' .45-70 rounds would be the cats a$$.
Look to your front! Mark your target when it comes.
45-70 500g 2000fps at $30 a box you will have a customer for life and my night stand will be filled to the brim when the big bad wolf comes calling! New and exciting Tip options would be awesome and don't be shy with the powder now boys, anyone who complains can shoot the pillowy soft Remington's (notice they didn't make it on the rifle) I want something that will devestat what's on the other end and I don't need to worrie about a follow up shot!!!
Best prices and loads I have found for comparison.
30$ HMS 405g Bear Load Flat Nose
39$ remmington 405 pillowy soft powered load Flat nose
42$ 325g Horandy Leverlution
50$ 500g Buffalo bore FMJ

If you need religion to have good morals then you don't actually have good morals.
You are correct I think 500g at 1700-1800 might be do able! Haha I would settle for something 400g hollow point at 2000. Just kinda bored with the regular Flat nose stuff and frankly the Hornady stuff is "ok" but if I need the distance I'd rather just shoot my 308. Love carrying this for bush carry might not be as versitility as a shotgun but I like it way better. Only downside is 00 buck is .80 and slugs are 1$ vs 2-4$ for 45-70.
The 500 grain buffalo bore is right at the max for a marlin. Any faster and you should probably wear a helmet
