You mean a Browning BAR? This gun s basically just a BAR with a pistol grip and good detachable magazine
Plus adjustable length of pull and adjustable cheek comb, and three position picatinny rails...
I recognize not a huge difference, however when all combined it does add to the tactical nature and ability of improved accuracy, plus you do get detachable mag.'s and the pistol grip (as you mentioned) which I very much prefer in this style of rifle.
