    Yes.

Then this should get laughed right out of court.

Make sure to bring a tape-measure to the trial.

I think Canada ammo did extensive analysis on whether it was going to be prohib or not when they brought them in. Doesn't mean a cop is not going to run you through the grinder, guilty till proven innocent. Interested in how this turns out.

It's really convenient how the "Non Firearms Prohibited Weapons Expert" did such a thorough examination and supposedly never measured it's length which is greater than 480mm and therefore the device is not prohibited.

This exactly. I bet you win in court as the written law in the CC should trump the policeman's findings/opinion. At what cost is the question, like someone has already said , guilty until proven innocent , absolutely crazy and bs but true. Also if you win in court it's still sort of punishment by due process. Really sucks.
The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles.

Any device that is designed to be capable of injuring, immobilizing or incapacitating a person or an animal by discharging an electrical charge produced by means of the amplification or accumulation of the electrical current generated by a battery, where the device is designed or altered so that the electrical charge may be discharged when the device is of a length of less than 480 mm, and any similar device.
    oooh that's greasy..

but still, I think you can make the argument it would still need to be under 480mm to be a "similar device"

which makes this a clear cut case of a "Non Firearms Prohibited Weapons Expert" who is just making up nonsense.

From their web site " - Legal in Canada, longer than 480mm " Sounds to me like it's another case of Law Enforcement bullying innocent citizens.
