Is "buy cheap buy it twice" a warning, or an alternative to "don't buy entry level crap"?

Wish I had had the sense to get into firearms before the 12-6 status / classification changed. Missing out on some beautiful firearms.

    1. Save more money than you think you need, the good ones cost more
    2. Don't buy something that will almost do what you need
    3. Save more money, optics are far more expensive than you thought
    4. Buy it in the caliber that you actually want, don't settle
    5. Save more money, you will want far more guns than you have money for
    Errors and Omissions Excluded

I am not a lawyer, the above does not constitute legal advice.
