    Yes, if any frequency besides the FRS-GMRS channels are transmitted on. Listening to other's transmissions, like a railfan might, does not.

    I really really miss FHSS radios that use to be on the market - should have stocked up while they were available. eXRS was good

    CanAm, do you think you may get other radio options in the future, non GMRS or FRS?

    I'm looking but having a hard time finding complete 2-way handsets. Motorola makes some, but they're for work sites with limited range. I'm looking in both 900MHz and 2.4 GHz
